Dr. S M Anas is currently working as a research scholar at the Department of Civil Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India. His research interests include mitigation of blast effects on structures, finite-element modelling, structural performance, composite materials, FRP, AFRP, BFRP, C-FRP, GFRP, steel tubes, metallic foams, pre-tensioned concrete girders, blast-resistant shelters, heritage masonry buildings, masonry walls, underground blasting, ground shock, impact-resistant structures, impulsive-loadings, among others. He has written more than 50 referred journal papers and 15 referenced conference papers in the area of blast and impact engineering. He is a special issue editor of the two reputed journals: Buildings and Computer Modelling in Engineering Science and Technology. He has an h-index of 30 and i-10 index of 48 and was cited more than 2000 times.
